My name is Erica

My machine is a Vamp

I’ve always had weird symmetrical vampire teeth, so ever since I was young and very pale, I have been called a Vampire. But jokes on them because I loved it. Still today in my late 30’s I am in love with stabby things: Horror movies, tattoos, and crafts. I worked for Husqvarna Viking Sewing Company for a little while and fell in love with machine embroidery.

I am self-taught, and with every ADHD whim, I have painted, drawn, sewn, upholstered, cosplayed, glued rhinestones, beaded, crocheted, and started hand sewing. That stuck until I found a beautiful machine to help me out.

It is still so much work to find the right pictures/designs that can be digitized and prepared for embroidering, sizing, and color selection. Then stitching the art out while maintaining the machine is a part-time job.

But I love creating art that I know will bring joy and happiness to anyone who loves pop culture, Halloween, Movies, and laughing.

My process

A special video of finishing a piece after finishing the embroidery. I give this attention to all of my pieces!

Richard Horvitz received a few of my pieces at Houston NostalgiaCon 2024. He voices Moxxie on the show Helluva Boss (free to see on YouTube!), he also voiced Zim on Invader Zim and helped my connect to my peers in high school.

Sadly I couldn’t be there due to illness, so my wonderful Husband delivered the gifts.
